Dying for Real Food

I just returned from a trip from Colorado to Michigan. My flights took me through several airports in the Midwestern United States where I spent a few hours in between flights. Having a raw vegan diet, I know it is best to take food with me when I travel. I am also aware of the spiritual benefits that are derived from eating food that is sanctified by my own vibration, and not unconsciously prepared.

The vast majority of my fellow travelers in these middle-American airports appeared to be shockingly unhealthy. They were overweight and sick in a variety of ways; their bodies reflected the burdens of a toxic, world, overloaded with despair, separation and fear. I realized they were likely unaware of the subtle cultural and political forces that had beckoned them away from a natural, healthy life; exploiting their conditioned tendency to respond to everything but the eternal self. Sacred Temple of the Self

Imagine a beautiful temple in the woods filled with peace and serenity, the deep vibrations of sacred space emanating from within. This temple, like its ancient predecessors, is a sacred form that has been purified and consecrated. There are four important areas within the temple: the portal, entry room, outer temple, and Holy of Holies.

As a symbolic representation of divine being, these areas of the temple each contain specific wisdom about the pathways leading to that ultimate spiritual state. Each area of the sacred temple also relates to one of the four aspects of the human being. As these areas are purified and consecrated, the wisdom within that portion of the temple becomes synthesized into one’s being. When the wisdom of the portal, entry room, outer temple, and Holy of Holies has been mastered, and each of the four lower bodies made into sacred space, the Divine Presence comes to reside within the human form. Renewing Our Earth Stewardship

From Kinetics Magazine, March 2010

“Do away with the old way of living and with the old self, which are corrupted by erroneous desires; and be renewed in the spirit of your soul,” Ephesians 4:22-23

As a planetary species, humanity has arrived at a critical crossroads. The times we are living in have been described in the ancient prophecies of many spiritual traditions. We are faced with a serious choice to either ignore the harm we see and witness further and irreversible damage, or take up our mantle of stewardship with each other, the earth and our Creator with renewed courage and commitment to a whole new way of life.

A Revolution of Consciousness

We must use our collective resources wisely, on every plane, to prepare a new way. To turn the tide from materialism toward spirituality requires a renewal of not only our lifestyle and culture, but a renewal of consciousness itself within each person. Wise people know that global systems are presently functioning in a way that is far too separate from the people they are meant to serve; too focused on material life, greed, and self-interests; and inherently limiting to individual personal expansion and harmonious life on earth, which is now at risk from these dysfunctional systems.  Read more

Pray and Sing Psalms with Haiti

In the midst of the devastation in Haiti, survivors huddle together in outdoor areas. One group has gathered and is living in a park near where the international media has set up to cover the disaster. There is no electricity and only a few candles glow in the dark as people settle in for another restless night. A reporter asked a man, “How have you all survived in the park with no water, no food?”. The man replied, “We pray and sing psalms.” In the background of the news report, many people can be heard praying and singing.

Here in an incredibly difficult circumstance, many people are showing a profound faith in spirit. Another television report showed a man being removed from the rubble after he spent three days in darkness and uncertainty. He was asked, “How did you manage to hang on?” The survivor replied, “I prayed to God to save my life and he did.” (more…)
