Many years ago, I received a profound transmission of wisdom while I was training in India.
The transmission referred to ancient teachings of Qabalah (also known as Hermetic Kabalah) and described nine bodies that are possessed by every spirit in incarnation. Here I will share with you what I learned regarding the five lower bodies.

The Physical Body. This body is the densest, formed of organic matter. It is three-dimensional, the only body existing fully within time and space. It is the temple and vehicle that transports the soul and the eight higher bodies. It is created out of the thoughts, feelings, words, and actions of the individual. It must learn discernment before it can connect to higher frequencies.

The Emotional Body. An intricate system of energy fields that produce vibrational frequencies that affect the mental and physical bodies. It is the source of power that the soul uses to create its fusion into the four lower bodies. To purify the emotional body, one must learn discipline and independence. Detachment from all that is not part of the perfected plan must occur before this body can unite with higher frequencies.

The Mental Body. This body receives the thought processes of the Universal mind, and processes the information through a filter system in the pineal gland. This body is not the same as the mind. It collects data and transfers it to other systems within the other eight bodies. Mind energy is the God-Force that surrounds the mental body. The highest form of communication that can be transmitted to the mental body is given through symbols. The mental body must integrate truth and service to others before it can unite with higher frequencies.

The Etheric or Causal Body. This is the electro-magnetic field that is a source of power that wraps itself around the three lower bodies to shield them from astral forces. It is a veil that serves as a filter for higher thought forms that come through to enlighten the individual on the spiritual path. It is the connecting link to the oversoul, and contains the power to merge the lower vibration of the three lower bodies into a higher vibration. An understanding and commitment to one’s greater mission in life must be absorbed into this body before the individual can advance on the spiritual path.

The Higher Mental Body. This body guides the symbolism and force of the Higher Self in and through the lower bodies and states of consciousness. It is the part of the mental body that is connected to Messianic heart, which directs life to evolve to higher states. It receives messages from the higher self through a series of vibrational impulses. The ability to receive clear messages through the Higher Mental Body depends upon the degree to which the causal body has transmuted the lower discordant frequencies of the three bodies below it. When all of the four lower bodies are aligned, messages flow clearly, and the individual fulfills God’s will before the will of the ego. Obedience and courage toward a higher purpose in life are the keys to master this body before one can advance further.
